“We now have these opportunities to gather our energies together as a global community and to effect change. Twenty years ago, it was not possible to reach out to thousands of people around the globe. Today, with the Internet, it is. We can gather our energies and breathe divine light and perfection into the world with the click of a computer mouse.”
– Sandra Ingerman, How to Thrive in Changing Times
Welcome to Sandra Ingerman’s Blog. I’m Steve O’Keefe, editor of the blog. I’m a friend of Sandra Ingerman’s and a professional newsblogger for SixEstate Communications. Sandra is celebrating the release of two new books this spring — and one new audio CD — by asking me to find and share with you stories of how people around the world are putting these principles into practice.
Our guiding principle on this blog is to report on the positive things people are doing to thrive in challenging times. We will show how people are healing not only themselves, but also the planet. By reading their stories, you magnify their impact. We invite you to contribute your own stories and point us in the direction of others who are thriving in changing times.
Thanks for your help!

I have followed Sandra’s work with interest in the past, when I trained with her student, Lawanna Durbin. So I was delighted to stumble onto her website and this blog.
I am also an MFT and transformational psychotherapist, and have been the leader of a community study group for the Institute of Noetic Sciences, which does cutting edge research on the frontiers of consciousness, to help midwife the paradigm shift into a global society that works for all life. I have recently completed a book explaining how to use intentionality, imagery, telepathy and empathy to support healing and conflict resolution in global hotspots – in Afghanistan, Israel, China, the Amazon, Turkey, Rwanda and elsewhere. My book is Armchair Travel to Heal the Planet, by Kathy Bornino, available on Amazon or through my website, and I have a blog with the same title. I will be adding Sandra’s blog to my blog roll, and would love to have you visit me.
Breathing energy into images is a spiritual practice that I use daily. It helps me adjust far more smoothly now than previously to the changing kaleidescope of small, medium and large crises called life. I see many situations resolve, partially or completely. Of course I cannot prove the cause of those results, but I am convinced my positive attention helps.
Our Five Freedoms
Hello. I am a cofounder of InterPlay, a community arts practice taught in the US, Australia, India, Brazil, and Germany, that is dedicated to creativity, body wisdom and wholeness. Sandra’s is the work I refer to when I speak about soul retrieval. Please thank her for me. I mention her in my book Dance: A Sacred Art: Discovering the Joy of Movement as Spiritual Practice.
InterPlay grew as Phil Porter and I improvised with others. We began as dancers and then felt drawn to voice, words, contact, and stillness. We wanted to know if a person could create in the moment with all five elements and how to improvisationally cocreate with others in meaningful performance. I call movement, voice, word, stillness, and contact our five great freedoms. This was confirmed when I heard Angeles Arrien call them indicators of soul. “When did you stop telling your story? stop singing? stop dancing?”
InterPlay focuses on reconnecting to body wisdom which turns out to connect us to the profound mechanics of spiritual life. I blog about this on Mondays and share a free Virtual InterPlay on Friday morning. This are available through our website at interplay.org
I am indebted to healers like Sandra who have made it possible to reclaim ease and grace and do what I believe humans are called to do on the planet: creatively contribute, play, and rest.
Hello,
I have been studying and practicing shamanism for a few years. I have traveled most of the world by bicycle upon this path. I am presently cycling around the world. After reading the last book I started a blog called http://www.skalatitude.blogspot.com. It is a collection of stories celebrating beauty, magic and harmony everywhere…….I would love to share some of those stories here if there is an interest. Thank you for the inspiration.
Peace, love, light.

Hi,
I am wondering about curse removal
Can you remove curse ?
I absolutely loved “How to thrive in changing times” book. I do hope you make a audiobook of it.
Thank you for writing it.

Hello Sandra,
Many years ago I was introduced to your book Soul Retrieval (and how we lost our spirits due to trauma). Your work in spirit loss simply made so much sense. I went on to do recovery work and to find my own lost spirit with the help of a medicine man.
I was also practicing as a mental health crisis nurse and had been doing research on how childhood trauma alters the brain and creates that potential for mental illness. In time I was able to teach groups on all that happens to a person subjected to trauma and provide teaching to my clients on the path of recovery (including soul retrieval). Many spoke of the hope they finally found and how this was information they had never heard before.
So I want to thank you for what I learned from you.
